PEDAGOGICAL FOUNDATIONS
The COETAIL program (Certificate of Educational Technology and Information Literacy) is based on sound pedagogical foundations that aim to help participants learn the material quickly and effectively within a community setting. We use a cohort system of learning; once a cohort starts they become a learning community and together support and learn from each other during their COETAIL journey. Throughout the program participants are encouraged to expand their thinking and take part in different online educational learning communities. The COETAIL program is designed to give participants multiple opportunities to learn and reflect on their teaching practices as they go through the program. The feedback participants receive from the learning community is rich in ideas, suggestions and encouragement.
